Maud Wagner, aerialist, sideshow performer, and America’s first professional female tattoo artist. Sideshow is a short graphic novel that details her life and legacy. The illustration style utilized is meant to mimic the early forms of American Traditional tattooing. This is accomplished by using flatforms, little dimension, and using a color palette those artists would’ve had.
